Shuang Hao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, affiliated with the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science. He leads research at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

His research focuses on security and privacy, particularly data-driven and AI-based techniques to combat adversarial attacks, illicit activities, and vulnerabilities in digital infrastructure. Key areas include AI security, big data security, and next-generation network systems.
Recent publications analyze ad attribution laundering, AI-synthesized face detection, and machine unlearning vulnerabilities. Awards include the NSF CAREER Award (2022) and IETF Applied Networking Research Prize (2020).
