Shridhar V Andurkar, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Midwestern University's College of Pharmacy and College of Graduate Studies, Illinois. He holds academic appointments in both institutions and has been actively involved in teaching, research, and administrative leadership. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Auburn University (1996), an M.S. from Auburn University (1991), and a B.Pharm. from the University of Poona, India (1988).

Dr. Andurkar's research focuses on synthesizing and evaluating novel analgesics and anticonvulsants, with a particular emphasis on opioid analgesia mechanisms, tolerance, and the role of adrenergic and imidazoline receptors.
