Shreehard Sahu

Shreehard Sahu is a Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research GmbH in Germany. His research focuses on nano-/micromechanics of materials, thermo-chemomechanics, and mechanics at chemical interfaces. He holds a Master of Technology in Materials from the Indian Institute of Science (2017–2019) and a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgy from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (2013–2017). Prior to his current role, he worked as a Research Associate at IIT Bombay and an R&D Engineer at Bajaj Auto.

His work emphasizes micro-mechanical testing of iron oxides (hematite, magnetite, wustite) and in situ experimentation (indentation, fracture). He also explores FIB milling techniques for green steel applications. His publications span additive manufacturing of superalloys, deformation mechanisms in single crystals, and thermal stability analysis.
