Shota Nakamura

Shota Nakamura is an Assistant Professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology's Graduate School of Engineering, specializing in condensed matter physics with a focus on chiral magnets and strongly correlated electron systems. He holds a PhD from the University of Tokyo (2018) and completed his undergraduate and master's studies at Hokkaido University.

His research primarily investigates chiral magnetic materials, particularly rare-earth intermetallic compounds like DyNi₃Al₉, GdNi₃Ga₉, and YbNi₃Al₉, examining their magnetic structures, phase transitions, and electronic properties. His work combines experimental techniques including neutron scattering, X-ray diffraction, specific heat measurements, and magnetization studies to understand the complex magnetic ordering in these materials.

Analysis of his recent publications reveals a strong focus on chiral helical magnetic structures, quadrupolar ordering phenomena, and the relationship between crystal symmetry and magnetic properties in rare-earth compounds.
