Shora Ansari

Dr. Shora Ansari is an Assistant Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) within Marshall B. Ketchum University (MBKU). She holds a BS and MS in pharmacological chemistry from UC San Diego and an OD from SCCO, where she graduated as Valedictorian. Her career spans pharmaceutical research in oncology/immunology, over a decade in private optometric practice specializing in irregular cornea contact lenses, and current teaching roles in didactic, lab, and clinical education at SCCO.

Research interests bridge pharmaceutical science and optometric applications, including molecular mechanisms in cancer biology and advanced contact lens technologies for corneal disorders. Publications include seminal work on tuberin's role in mitotic regulation, reflecting her early pharmaceutical research focus.
