Shirley Lung is a Professor of Law at the CUNY School of Law within the City University of New York. She holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden Scholar, and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. Her research focuses on labor rights, particularly for immigrant and low-wage workers, and law school pedagogy. She advocates for policy reforms addressing wage exploitation, mandatory overtime, and joint employer accountability in industries like garment, restaurant, construction, and home care. Professor Lung teaches Torts and a skills-based course for second-year students, emphasizing doctrinal application and exam preparation.
