Shirley-Ann Behravesh

Shirley-Ann Behravesh is an Assistant Professor of Global Sustainable Enterprise at the Thunderbird School of Global Management (Arizona State University) and a Senior Global Futures Scientist at the Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation. Her research focuses on corporate sustainability strategies, resilient community-building in small-island states, and sustainable development in the Global South. She holds a PhD in Sustainability from ASU, an M.Phil. in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Social Sciences from the University of the West Indies. Dr. Behravesh teaches courses on innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, and advises organizations on sustainability practices through roles like her position on the City of Tucson’s Climate Action Advisory Council.

Her research explores intersections between organizational culture and sustainability adoption, sustainable supply chain management, and education for complex sustainability challenges. Notable work includes studies on digital technologies in sustainable public procurement, stakeholder influence on environmental policies, and resilience-building in Caribbean communities.
