Dr Shirin Hirsch is a Senior Lecturer in History at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), collaborating closely with the People’s History Museum. Her research focuses on anti-racism, race, migration, and labor movements in post-war Britain. She is currently writing a book on anti-racism in post-war British history and conducting a fellowship at UCL Special Collections on 1980s anti-racist school strikes. Hirsch co-teaches 'Beyond Windrush: Race, migration and resistance in Modern Britain' and has contributed to media discussions on race and labor. Awards include the BBC/AHRC New Generation Thinker (2022).

- Co-organized an exhibition on Enoch Powell’s legacy in Wolverhampton (2018).
