Shireen Meher

Professor Shireen Meher is a faculty member at the Sydney Medical School and serves as a Professor of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Sydney. She leads the obstetric research program at Nepean Clinical School and is part of the leadership team for the Clinical Academic Group at Sydney Health Partners and the University of Sydney's Reproduction and Perinatal Centre.

Recent publications emphasize neonatal encephalopathy core outcome sets (2024), intrapartum care algorithms (2022), and postpartum hemorrhage interventions (2023). She has led major trials like the CaPE Trial (calcium supplementation for pre-eclampsia) and COPE Trial (carboprost vs oxytocin for PPH).
