Shinji Koshida is a Researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Systems Analysis within the School of Science at Aalto University. His research focuses on conformal field theory, vertex operator algebras, quantum groups, and related algebraic structures. He has contributed to topics including the Virasoro VOA, Khovanov Heisenberg categories, and Schramm-Loewner evolutions (SLE).
Recent work includes studies on planar algebras for the Young graph (2025), normalized characters of symmetric groups (2023), and multiple SLE driven by Dyson’s Brownian motions (2021). His research bridges algebraic structures with probabilistic models, emphasizing connections between representation theory and mathematical physics.
Koshida has presented at international conferences and workshops, including FiRST and IWOTA. He leads projects on coupling Gaussian free fields with SLE and explores representation-theoretic aspects of vertex operator algebras.
