Shiko Ben-Menahem is an Associate Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam's School of Business and Economics, within the Management & Organization Department. He holds a habilitation from ETH Zurich and served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at NYU Stern School of Business. His research focuses on digital technology's impact on organizational design, innovation processes in healthcare and life sciences, AI-driven decision-making, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in pharmaceuticals. He currently leads the MOVUS project, redesigning digital care for older adults, and directs the Singularity Think Tank, a global technology expert network.
Education: Ph.D. from Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), habilitation at ETH Zurich's Strategic Management and Innovation Chair. Editorial roles include Associate Editor of Academy of Management Discoveries and former Editor for Research Policy and European Management Journal.
Research interests span digital health, AI in strategizing, healthcare innovation systems, and organizational adaptation to emerging technologies. His work bridges academic and industry insights, addressing challenges in rare disease drug development, data-driven decision-making, and pandemic response strategies.
Recent projects include exploring pandemic-era creativity preservation and regulatory impacts on medical device innovation. He advises The Singularity Group, an investment firm focusing on transformative technologies.
