Dr. Sherry Wang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Chapman University School of Pharmacy, leading the Research Center for Healthcare AI Initiative. Her interdisciplinary research combines machine learning, epidemiology, clinical pharmacy, health economics, and health services research to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.

Her work focuses on optimizing care pathways for chronic diseases and addiction, leveraging real-world data (RWD) to address healthcare access and quality issues, particularly for populations with substance use disorders. She has international experience across Asia, Australia, and the US.
Recent scholarly trends show her work spans machine learning (e.g., opioid risk scoring bias), addiction treatment (buprenorphine utilization), and chronic disease management (metabolic syndrome, breast cancer pain). She integrates geospatial analysis and health policy evaluation into her research.
