Sherry Hoyle is an Associate Professor and Program Director for the Ed.S. Educational Leadership Program at Winthrop University's College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences. With 33+ years of experience, she has served as a classroom teacher and administrator in K-12 settings before transitioning to higher education. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Her research focuses on educational leadership's role in organizational transformation, fostering positive school cultures, and addressing the needs of diverse student populations. Dr. Hoyle teaches in Winthrop's Masters and Specialist in Educational Leadership programs and actively contributes to professional organizations like SCASA and NCASA through presentations on leadership topics.
Currently based at the Withers/W.T.S. Building (office 212), she maintains a commitment to preparing future educational leaders through innovative pedagogy and practical field experiences.
