Sherri Conklin

Sherri Conklin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Washington State University (WSU). Her research focuses on AI and moral responsibility, with past work on the metaphysics of moral justification. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an MSc from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA from Wheaton College.

Her research explores ethical implications of AI technologies and historical underrepresentation of women in philosophy. She co-authored a 2022 paper in Ethics analyzing gender disparities in philosophy journals and co-founded AviAI Inc. (now Mithrl, Inc.), which applies AI to ethical challenges.
