Shengyao Yang

Dr. Shengyao Yang is a postdoctoral Research Assistant at the School of Science at RMIT University, Australia. His research focuses on materials science and mechanical engineering, particularly in the machining-induced deformation and damage mechanisms of advanced materials like 6H-silicon carbide (SiC) and potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystals. By leveraging molecular dynamics simulations and experimental characterization, he investigates nanoindentation, nanogrinding, and surface integrity optimization.
