Sheng Peng

Dr. Sheng Peng is a Research Professor at the Bureau of Economic Geology within the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. His expertise lies in petrophysics, fluid flow dynamics in unconventional reservoirs, and carbon sequestration. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Hydrogeology from the University of Arizona and has held academic positions at institutions including Beijing Normal University and the University of Texas at Arlington. His research focuses on shale and tight rock reservoirs, including CO₂ storage mechanisms, wettability dynamics, and fluid displacement processes.
