Shelton Johnson serves as Assistant Professor of Black Studies at SUNY New Paltz. His research examines intersections of racial identity, anti-black racism, homophobia, and Black masculinity through social-cultural and educational lenses. He holds a PhD in Social/Cultural Studies and Instructional Leadership from The University of Alabama.
