Shelley Wing Chan is a Professor of Chinese Language and Cultural Studies at Wittenberg University since 2004. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder, an MA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BA from Hong Kong Baptist University. Her research focuses on modern/contemporary Chinese literature, gender studies, and innovative language pedagogy. She has authored seminal works like *A Subversive Voice in China: The Fictional World of Mo Yan* and edited critical collections analyzing Chinese cultural narratives.
