معرفی
Shelley Hoover is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Lethbridge. Her research focuses on applied honey bee biology, including queen breeding, nutrition, and the impact of parasites, pathogens, and diseases on honey bee colonies. She also investigates crop pollination dynamics, plant-bee interactions, and the sociobiology of bees.

Dr. Hoover's research explores the intersection of agricultural practices and bee health, with particular emphasis on virology, microbial ecology, and climate-driven disease patterns. Her work addresses practical beekeeping challenges such as overwintering strategies, stressor syndromes, and pathogen transmission in crop systems.
Her recent publications (2025–2024) center on honey bee queens, viral infections, microbiome interactions, and climate impacts. Topics include protein expression in eusocial insects, sacbrood virus prevalence in blueberry pollination, and the effects of environmental stressors on colony productivity.
