Sheila Leis

Sheila Leis is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Nursing. She joined IWU in 2011 and has over 18 years of teaching experience in nursing programs. Her professional background includes 15+ years as a Professional Development Specialist at Miami Valley Hospital (a Magnet hospital) and roles as a nurse manager in renal-diabetes units. Certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing for 25+ years, she focuses on leadership development, mentoring future nurses, and transition-to-practice initiatives.
