Sheila Bessette is a Lecturer in the ABA Programs at Assumption University’s D’Amour College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. With extensive experience in special education across private and public school settings, she has provided behavior-analytic services in public schools since 2002. She holds licenses from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a special educator (Autism Endorsement) and special education administrator, and is currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for Westborough Public Schools.

Her research focuses on improving treatment integrity through behavioral skills training, particularly for paraprofessionals in special education. Key areas of professional interest include evidence-based practices, staff training methodologies, verbal behavior interventions, social skills development, and integrating behavior analysis with nutrition and health initiatives. She has worked at the New England Center for Children and public school districts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
