Shay West

Shay West is a Lecturer in the Department of Biology at Colorado Mesa University, where she teaches courses in human biology, human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and neuroscience. She holds a PhD in Biophysics and Genetics from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and a BS from Mesa State College.

Her primary research interests lie in neuroscience and genetics, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and rare genetic disorders like gray platelet syndrome. Her work integrates molecular biology, neurochemistry, and genetic mapping techniques.
