Shawn Keller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Justice Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). His research focuses on biosocial criminology, examining epigenetics' role in criminal behavior and the application of emerging technologies like 3D modeling, facial recognition, and AI-assisted policing. He holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, along with M.S. and B.S. degrees from Jacksonville State University.
Dr. Keller's research interests include protective factors against violence, offender rehabilitation, and public perceptions of policing.
