Shawn K. Garnier

Shawn K. Garnier is a Lecturer of Dance at Purchase College, SUNY, within the Conservatory of Dance. Originally from Colorado, he began his career in gymnastics and dance, earning honors as a three-time state champion and All-American in high school before pursuing a 16-year professional dance career.

Garnier specializes in dance and choreography, blending his expertise in performance arts and gymnastics. He has worked internationally with Dick Foster Productions, performed in Las Vegas venues, and collaborated with artists under Sony Records.

As head coach of the nationally-ranked dance team at Queens College, he contributes to competitive dance education. His professional experience includes choreography for the Latin Billboard Awards and collaborations with prominent choreographers like John Seylas.
