Shawn Dove

Shawn Dove is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Animal Ecology & Systematics, Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. His work focuses on developing methodologies for biodiversity indicators, software tools for ecological data analysis, and the biogeography of mesopelagic fish larvae. He holds a PhD in Conservation Biology from University College London (2018-2022) and an MSc in Biological Oceanography from GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre (2014-2017).

His research interests span biodiversity conservation strategies, global trend analysis using GBIF data, and improving the reliability of population-based indicators. Current projects include the B-cubed initiative under Dr. Hanno Seebens, emphasizing data-driven conservation solutions.
