Shaundra Daily

Dr. Shaundra Daily serves as the Cue Family Professor of the Practice in the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science Departments at Duke University. She received the 2023 ACM Karl V. Karlstrom Outstanding Educator Award for fundamentally transforming national computing education systems toward equity and combating technology's unjust societal impacts.

Her research pioneers identity-inclusive strategies in computing education, focusing on cultural competence, intersectionality, and systemic equity. She co-founded the Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellows program—a global initiative training educators from North America, Africa, Europe, and Australia—and the $10 million NSF-funded Alliance for Identity Inclusive Education in Computing (AiiCE), which has directly impacted 1,184 K-16 educators and over 100,000 students through sustainable curriculum reforms.

Dr. Daily secured a $10 million National Science Foundation INCLUDES grant to scale AiiCE, establishing partnerships with ABET, AccessComputing, CSTA, and 10+ universities to reshape policies and practices across K-16 computing education. She leads the Alliance for Identity Inclusive Education in Computing (AiiCE), coordinating a multi-institutional network including Duke University, Georgia Tech, Mount Holyoke College, and Reboot Representation to implement identity-inclusive strategies in classrooms and curricula nationwide.
