Dr. Shaun McFadden is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Ulster University's School of Computing, Engineering and Intelligent Systems, based at the Derry~Londonderry campus. He serves as the course coordinator for all undergraduate Engineering programs, including Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with responsibility for both full-time and part-time students.

- Defect generation and powder characterization
- Automotive engineering applications (driveline and suspension systems)
