Dr. Sharon Savage is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Newcastle, Australia, with expertise in clinical neuropsychology and dementia research. She holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales and advanced qualifications in academic practice from the University of Exeter. Her career spans clinical research, teaching, and leadership roles in neuropsychological rehabilitation and aging-related cognitive disorders.
Education: BPsych (Hons) and MClNeuro from Macquarie University; PhD from UNSW; Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from University of Exeter.
Research focuses on dementia subtypes (frontotemporal, semantic), transient epileptic amnesia, and cognitive interventions. Notable contributions include the Sydney Language Battery for PPA diagnosis and longitudinal studies on TEA prognosis. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and co-edited chapters on neuropsychological assessment and dementia care.
