Sharon Geva is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Neuroscience at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering's Psychology, Sport and Sensory Science department. Her expertise spans Neuroscience and Psychology, with a focus on cognitive mechanisms underlying speech and memory. She joined ARU in 2022, having previously held post-doctoral roles at University College London's Institute of Child Health and Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Neuroimaging.
Dr. Geva holds a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Psychology and Biology from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and serves as a Topic Editor for Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.
Her research investigates speech impairments post-stroke, inner speech variability in healthy vs. stroke populations, and memory mechanisms using MRI and neuropsychological testing. Key areas include stroke rehabilitation, neuroimaging techniques, and cognitive deficits post-neurological damage. She collaborates on projects like the PLORAS team’s stroke outcome studies and contributes to the ARU Centre for Mind and Behaviour.
