Sharmishtha Dutta

Sharmishtha Dutta serves as Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Stonehill College, joining the institution in 2025. Her academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.

Her research centers on knowledge graph curation and completion, with specific expertise in mining malware threat intelligence from unstructured texts using machine learning. She designs ontologies and develops novel machine learning models for knowledge graphs, specializing in creating realistic and temporally aware inductive knowledge graph systems. Prior to Stonehill, she held a lecturer position at Metropolitan University from 2017 to 2019.

Dutta's work bridges theoretical computer science with practical security applications, particularly in transforming unstructured threat data into structured knowledge representations. Her methodology combines graph-based machine learning with temporal reasoning to enhance cybersecurity intelligence systems.
