Sharif S. Aly

Sharif S. Aly is a Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Department of Population Health and Reproduction at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis. He has been a faculty member since May 2010, developing quantitative and epidemiological methods to advance the health, welfare and productivity of food animals. Dr. Aly is also enthusiastic about teaching epidemiology to veterinary and graduate students.

As a veterinary epidemiologist, Dr. Aly specializes in dairy cattle infectious diseases and welfare. His research interests span Veterinary Medicine, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, Dairy Cattle Health, Antimicrobial Resistance, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Population Health. He develops innovative quantitative approaches to address complex challenges in food animal health and productivity.
