Shannon Webb Campbell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Lakehead University, specializing in Indigenous Literatures, Storytelling, and Creative Writing. A Mi’kmaw-settler poet and scholar, she holds a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of New Brunswick and actively engages in research collaborations with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation and SSHRC.
Her research focuses on Indigenous storytelling through visual and literary forms, particularly examining Mi’kmaq artists and writers from Newfoundland and Labrador. She is part of the SSHRC-NCTR grant project 'We’re Still Here' and investigates the exclusion of Indigenous peoples in Newfoundland and Labrador's 1949 Confederation Terms of Union.
