Shannon Mazur, DO, MA is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry with a focus on bioethics and end-of-life care. She holds appointments in the Section of Psychological Medicine and Yale Cancer Center’s Psycho-Oncology Program. Her roles include ethics committee membership and leadership in ACLP Bioethics initiatives.
Education: DO from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (2016), MA in Applied Philosophy/Medical Ethics from Loyola University Chicago (2007), BS in Biology from Loyola Marymount University (2004). Completed psychiatry residency at UMass-Baystate and CL psychiatry fellowship at Yale.
Research emphasizes ethical decision-making in terminal care, capacity assessments, and integrating psychiatric care with oncology. Recognized with ACLP’s prestigious William Webb Fellowship (2020).
