Shannon M. Murphy

Dr. Shannon Murphy is Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Denver, researching ecology and evolution of plant-insect interactions under global change. She leads field and lab investigations into how environmental changes alter ecological relationships.

Her work integrates biochemistry, population ecology, and evolutionary biology to study tri-trophic interactions. Dr. Murphy mentors undergraduate and graduate researchers in field-based studies and teaches ecological methods. Her research has been supported by multiple NSF grants and ecological societies.
