Shannon Hilling is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Concord University's Department of Nursing, located within the College of Science, Mathematics, and Health. She holds an Associate of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bluefield State College, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from Indiana State University. Her clinical experience includes roles in Gastroenterology and Urology as a nurse practitioner, as well as work in progressive care and operating room settings at Princeton Community Hospital.
Dr. Hilling’s research interests focus on enhancing nursing education and clinical practices, particularly in areas aligned with her expertise in gastroenterology and urology. She aims to impact future nursing students by preparing them to address community healthcare needs. She is currently planning to pursue a doctoral program to further advance her academic and professional goals.
