Shane E. Brogan, MD, MB BCh is Professor of Anesthesiology (Clinical) at the University of Utah School of Medicine and an attending pain physician at Huntsman Cancer Institute and the University Pain Management Center.

He collaborates within the Huntsman Cancer Institute Supportive Oncology and Survivorship team to restore quality of life for patients with complex pain syndromes.
Across more than two decades of scholarly activity, his publications reveal a consistent trajectory in neuromodulation, intrathecal pharmacology, and interventional cancer pain techniques. Recent work emphasizes evidence-based refinement of intrathecal drug dosing, catheter positioning, and cost-effective care pathways.

Dr. Brogan practices at three University of Utah-affiliated sites: Huntsman Cancer Institute – Cancer Hospital South, the Pain Management Center, and University of Utah Hospital Anesthesiology.
