Shalini Tendulkar is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Community Health at Tufts University. She holds a ScD and ScM in Maternal and Child Health from Harvard University and an AB in Psychobiology from Wellesley College. Her work focuses on community-based participatory research (CBPR), health equity, mental health, and qualitative research methods.

Dr. Tendulkar's research explores community engagement, health disparities, and program evaluation across diverse populations including immigrants, adolescents, and marginalized groups. Her recent publications examine occupational stress in trauma-informed care, urban water sustainability, and CBPR pedagogy.
Notable awards include the Tufts Multicultural Service Award (2017) and recognition as a 'Professor of the Year' finalist (2019). She has taught courses in research methods, health inequities, and qualitative research, mentoring over 60 undergraduate students in community-partnered projects.
As a board member of CHNA17, a regional health coalition, and founder of a mutual aid network during the pandemic, she advocates for racial equity and community empowerment. Her work bridges academic research with grassroots health initiatives.
