His publication record shows a consistent focus on architectural education history and 20th century urban development, with notable works including the 2018 publication 'The Places of Architecture Teaching in France in the 20th Century' and the 2019 research report 'SMART FRENCH, the resilience of the modern city 1945-1975.' These works demonstrate his expertise in documenting architectural pedagogy and analyzing post-war urban resilience.
Abadie has been actively involved in major research programs including EnsArchi (2019-2023), HEnsA20 (2016-2020), Smart French (2016-2019), and Metacult (2013-2016). These projects have been supported by significant funding bodies including the French Ministry of Culture, National Research Agency (ANR), and Deutsche Forschungs Gemeinschaft (DFG), indicating the national and international recognition of his research contributions.
His doctoral research at the University of Strasbourg (2012) on 'An architectural history of cinema. Genesis and metamorphoses of cinematographic architecture: Paris 1907-1939' established his expertise in the relationship between cinematic spaces and architectural design, a foundation that informs his broader research on architectural history and cultural transfers.
