Dr. Shahin Shooshtari is a Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Her research focuses on health outcomes and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), particularly aging-related issues, cancer disparities, and community transitions. She holds affiliations with the St. Amant Research Centre, Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, and the Centre on Aging. Dr. Shooshtari has a PhD in Community Health Sciences (2003) and has received awards for her contributions to teaching and research, including the Emerald Publishing commendation (2017) and the Emerging Scholar Award (2008).
