Shahab Derhami is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics and Operations at the School of Management, Binghamton University. His research bridges supply chain management, logistics, and analytics with applications in machine learning and optimization. Contact: sderhami@binghamton.edu.

Derhami’s research focuses on demand estimation in supply chains, customer substitution behavior, and warehouse layout optimization. His work addresses challenges like lost sales underestimation, inventory transshipment modeling, and block stacking warehouse design. Key projects include developing the Product Availability Ratio (PAR) metric for retail network analysis and creating simulation-based optimization algorithms for warehouse efficiency.
His publications in journals like Omega, IISE Transactions, and International Journal of Production Economics analyze:
