Dr. Shagufta Mehnaz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. Previously, she held positions at Dartmouth College and Purdue University. Her research focuses on security, privacy, and machine learning, with an emphasis on building practical systems that maintain functionality while ensuring data protection.
Education includes:

- B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (2013)
Her work spans privacy-preserving machine learning, intrusion detection, and adversarial attacks. Current projects include federated learning defenses and model unlearning techniques. Recent publications focus on vulnerabilities in large language models and graph neural networks.
