Shaden M Tageldin is a Professor in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota. Her work bridges Arab studies, world literature frameworks, and transcontinental literary theory. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of California.
Research Interests: Specializing in cross-cultural literary analysis, negative translation theory, and modernity in poetics, her scholarship examines connections between Afroeurasian literatures, particularly Arab-Indian dialogues and Victor Hugo's influence in Arab literary modernity.
