Prof. Dr. Seçil Aksoy serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Near East University, where she has held academic appointments since 2013. Promoted to full Professor in 2023 after serving as Associate Professor (2017-2023) and Assistant Professor (2013-2017), she additionally holds key administrative roles as Self-Assessment Coordinator and serves on both the TRNC Education Commission and TRNC Dentistry Deans' Council.
Her educational trajectory includes:

- Dental degree from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry (2007)
- Doctoral studies completed at Near East University Health Sciences Institute (2013)
Prof. Aksoy's research program centers on advanced imaging applications with particular emphasis on cone-beam computed tomography. Her work investigates anatomical relationships between paranasal sinuses and upper airway structures, with direct clinical applications for obstructive sleep apnea diagnosis and dental radiology. This focus bridges engineering principles with clinical dentistry to enhance diagnostic precision.
She maintains active scholarly engagement through publications in nationally and internationally indexed journals and presentations at dental congresses.
