Sevin Sagnic is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at UC San Diego specializing in international migration and political sociology. Their research focuses on refugee migration, state-citizen relations, and refugee knowledge production, with a particular focus on Turkey and historical comparative frameworks. They hold a BA from Marmara University and MAs from the University of Kent and Boğaziçi University. Sagnic has taught Sociology of Immigration, Qualitative Interviewing, and Comparative Historical Methods while maintaining active teaching assistant roles in introductory sociology courses.
