Seunghoon Chae is a Lecturer in International Security at the School of Politics and International Studies, University of Leeds. His research focuses on political violence, authoritarianism, and state capacity, with regional expertise on Korea.

Research Interests: Quantitative analysis of violence in conflict and authoritarian settings, including:

- State capacity and governance
- Korean politics and historical violence
