Seung Kim is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Developmental Biology at Stanford University School of Medicine, holding the Laurie Kraus Lacob Professorship. His teaching portfolio includes Elements of Grant Writing and Teaching in Cancer Biology, alongside directing research across developmental biology, cancer biology, neurosciences, and immunology.
His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of pancreatic development and disease, with emphasis on stem cell regulation in diabetes and pancreatic cancer. Key areas include transcriptional networks controlling cell fate, organogenesis pathways, and oncogenic reprogramming in tumor microenvironments.
