Seth Schwartz

Seth Schwartz is the Lucius N. Littauer Professor of Classical Jewish Civilization at Columbia University, where he serves as Chair of the Department of History. He specializes in Jewish political, social, and cultural history spanning from Alexander the Great's conquests to the rise of Islam, with a focus on anthropological and social theoretical frameworks.
