Seth Nordin

Seth Nordin is a brass tutor and educator based in Sherborne, Dorset. He holds a Bachelor’s in Music from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master’s in Music from the University of Northern Iowa. Currently, he serves as Brass Tutor at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton and Visiting Music Teacher of Trombone/Heavy Brass at Sherborne School. His roles include teaching brass and jazz, alongside organizing live music as former Assistant Musical Director for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Research interests focus on brass performance pedagogy and jazz studies. His work spans orchestral performance (e.g., Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony, Conway Symphony Orchestra) and musical theatre collaborations (Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Octagon Theatre). Notable achievements include lead trombone solos on the UNI Jazz Band One album ‘That Doesn’t Even Look Like You’.
