Dr Setara Pracha is a Visiting Lecturer in the English and Digital Media Department at the University of Buckingham. She holds a DPhil from the same institution and previously served as a postgraduate Ondaatje Scholar at Massey College, University of Toronto.

Research Interests
Her work focuses on literary representations of difference, including gender studies, diasporic narratives, and hybridity in 20th-century literature. She explores themes of cultural negotiation in works by South Asian British immigrants such as Moniza Alvi, Gurinder Chadha, and Meera Syal.
Publications
Recent works include The Pathology of Desire in Daphne du Maurier’s Short Stories (2023) and contributions to Katherine Mansfield and Psychology (2016). Her research bridges postcolonial theory and transgressive narratives in modern literature.
Teaching
She teaches modules on Literature and Gender, 20th-Century Literature, and supervises postgraduate projects.
