Sesh Commuri is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Nevada Reno. His research focuses on intelligent systems, sensor networks, and robotics, with applications in civil infrastructure and prosthetic design.
Research interests include:
- Development of the Intelligent Asphalt Compaction Analyzer (IACA) for real-time pavement quality assessment
- Intelligent control systems for prosthetic limbs to improve gait symmetry
- Application of neural networks and AI in engineering systems
- Operability analysis of networked manufacturing systems
He has supervised 13 master's theses and 7 Ph.D. dissertations. Dr. Commuri has secured over $19 million in research funding, including $2.8 million individually, and holds 9 patents. His work spans civil engineering, biomedical engineering, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
